The Writers' Strike is over!

Well, the writers have voted and have decided to end the strike and return to work as early as Wednesday. Well, whoopteedo! We are supposed to be excited about shortened seasons of our favorite shows because of the greed of the writers? Don't get me wrong, I will be glad to have some new TV to watch, but this is a slap in the face to all the fans of the shows.

Some shows will not come back with new shows until next fall. 24 will only be a half season which means that fans will have to wait until January 2009 for a whole season: almost a whole year! This was supposed to be Scrubs' last season with a big finale and what do they get? 10 episodes MAYBE, counting the four new episodes before Christmas. Not only that, but the big wigs aren't even sure if these episodes will be aired! It is possible that it will go straight to DVD! How is that right? If I were an actor on that show, I would be furious to think that I was on a hit show for six successful seasons only to be screwed over in the seventh and final season.

Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done unless we all stop watching TV, but that isn't going to happen. If only... I just hope that it was worth it to get an extra buck.
